The citrus jams we offer are made by hand in our Parisian workshop. But our citrus fruits are bursting with the sun of the South and carefully selected from small producers. Find our recipes of orange, grapefruit but also clementine.

Nestled under an archway of the Viaduc des Arts, in the heart of Paris, Confiture parisienne concocts delicious recipes while striving to bring tradition up to date. In our jam factory, we have indeed in heart to create new flavours by always following the traditional methods which make of the jam a delight impossible to circumvent.

For all our recipes, we give pride of place to good fruit and highlight the work of passionate producers. In order to elaborate our citrus jams, we have headed to the South and thus chosen fruits full of sun!

Citrus jam: a sunny delight

A hint of acidity, a little bitterness and above all a zest of sweetness and greed: this is how one could describe the flavor of the fruits that make up the citrus family.

When we think of citrus fruits, we inevitably think of the sun that made them ripen! If today we are used to eating citrus fruits everywhere in France, these fruits have much more distant origins! The citrus fruits that we know are in fact almost all native to China and India where they were cultivated nearly 3,000 years ago! With the various discoveries made by explorers, citrus fruits progressively arrived in Europe where we discovered the flavor of the clementine, the grapefruit, the pomelo or the citron and the mandarin. The royal tables enjoyed tasting various citrus jams: a luxury dish after all, since sugar was still a rare commodity!

Citrus fruits are therefore born on continents where the climate is hot and humid, with temperatures between 20 and 25°. Certainly, citrus jam is the jam par excellence of sun and heat!

Carefully selected fruits and traditional methods for the most succulent citrus jam

Since the 19th century, Paris has been a city of jams! The capital was indeed famous for its numerous jam shops, all made with fruit from the surrounding orchards. With Confiture Parisienne, we wished to give this tradition to the taste of the day by elaborating new flavours and by emphasizing fruits of the most beautiful quality. To elaborate our citrus jams, we go to meet small passionate producers who have in heart to produce fruits full of sun and flavours! Once the fruits are ready, we cook them in small quantities in copper cauldrons, according to traditional methods.

By following these ancestral processes, we create tasty and authentic jams. Our collection of citrus jams brings together essential flavors and unique associations, such as the Grapefruit Clementine Kumquat Jam or our creations combining orange and orange blossom, but also orange and absinthe. Sweet or savory, citrus jam can be enjoyed at any time of the day, on a slice of farmhouse bread, with white yogurt or goat cheese and of course to accompany and enhance a Peking duck!
