Coffret Fête des Mères Les Petites Cuillères de Juliette X Confiture Parisienne Framboise Macaron

Parisian Jam says "spoonful yours" for Mother's Day

Juliette's passion is engraving little everyday love notes on our grandmothers' spoons. For Mother's Day, it was only natural that Confiture Parisienne partnered with Juliette, founder of Les Petites Cuillères de Juliette , to design the perfect gift to say "I love you" to your mom.

Juliette's Little Spoons X Parisian Jam

Tell us about yourself! How was your business born?

My name is Juliette, I launched Les Petites Cuillères de Juliette 4 years ago. The concept already existed, I didn't invent anything! I wanted to buy my engraved spoon but no one did it in France and I had the idea to create my brand at that time! I am the first to have launched the project in France.

Where does your passion for spoons come from and why did you want to make a business out of it?

My passion for spoons came to me later, when, as I made my finds, I came across rare and very pretty pieces! At first, it was really the engraving process that intrigued and interested me, but then I came across old pieces with flowers! That's when my passion began! And the idea wasn't really to make it my business, I just wanted to do something for fun and I realized that I could make a living from it, the perfect equation for personal fulfillment.

Where do you find your spoons and what makes them so special?

I don't have a supplier or wholesaler, I have two or three contacts who send me a few pieces but otherwise I'm the one who makes my stock. After 4 years, I'm starting to know how to find little wonders! It also took me time to perfect my engraving technique and find the right equipment.

There are a lot of people engraving spoons now, doesn't the competition scare you?

So, no, not at all. I was the first to launch the concept in France and I'm very pleased that others are following suit. There was a time when yes, it worried me but not anymore, each engraver has their own universe and I have confidence in mine. What bothers me is those who copy, I find it a shame to copy and paste the work of others, it's very frustrating.

How did you get the chance to collaborate with the founders of Confiture Parisienne?

I contacted Laura and Nadège at the jam shop to discuss a collaboration, the one for Christmas 2019, and then I immediately became friends with Laura, hence the name I gave to the first teaspoon in my collection, “La Laura”! My office is actually at the jam shop! We have been co-workers since November 2019.

Why this Mother's Day collaboration?

It was the girls who suggested the Mother's Day collaboration to me. They were convinced that my rather feminine universe fit perfectly into the celebration of Mother's Day. For this collaboration, I propose a golden spoon, in the shape of a flower petal with 10 different messages: “Maman d'amour”, “Mamounette”, “Maman chérie”, little hearts, little flowers, “je t'aime” and many others! A gift full of love that lasts forever, the ideal gift for a mother.

What can we expect from Juliette's Little Spoons in the future?

So, I just launched my own spoon collection! Just like the ones in the box, it's a small, round, golden spoon with no frills. So what we can expect from my little spoons in the future is even more creations that will complete my collection and maybe even other collections and collaborations!

Sweet little words for a spoonful of love and as Juliette would say, spoonfully yours.
