To entertain your little rascals during the holidays, there's nothing better than a family recipe that will make the Halloween monsters shiver with jealousy!
Discover our recipe for revisited pumpkins with 4 citrus jam (Orange, Grapefruit, Clementine, Kumquat)!
Ingredients:
(For about fifteen pumpkins)
1 homemade pizza dough or not
1 circle cookie cutter with a diameter of 12 cm
1 bundle of roasting twine
1 food processor or 1 salad bowl
1/2 cinnamon stick per pumpkin
For the homemade pizza dough:
200g of flour
4g of sugar
4g of salt
2 tablespoons of olive oil
10g of fresh baker's yeast
12.5 cl of water
Process
1. In a mixer bowl fitted with a dough hook or in a salad bowl, successively add the flour, sugar, and salt. Crumble the yeast and knead for 4 minutes at medium speed (or by hand). Then, gradually add the water and olive oil, then knead again. If you already have pizza dough, go to step 4.
2. Dust the bottom and top of another bowl with flour. Wrap the bowl containing the dough with a cloth and let the dough rest for at least 2 to 3 hours, ideally half a day.
3. Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 0.5 cm. Use a cookie cutter to cut out circles.
4. Preheat your oven to 180°C.
5. Place a generous tablespoon of jam in the center of each pastry circle. Fold the pastry over itself to form a ball. Stretch four 20cm strings into a star shape and place the filled pastry ball in the center.
6. Use the strings to shape the dough into a pumpkin shape, tying them together at the top of the ball. Then insert half a cinnamon stick into the center of the ball and cut off the excess string.
7. Brush the surface of the pumpkin with beaten egg. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 10 minutes.
Sprinkle with spices, enjoy and Happy Halloween!
