To celebrate Easter properly, Confiture Parisienne offers you a churros recipe to enjoy with a selection of spreads. It's THE ideal snack to share with family or friends!
For this recipe, you need:
(for 8 people)
- 250 g of flour
- 250 to 280 ml of water
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Sugar
- Neutral frying oil (grape seed or sunflower)
- 1 jar of Easter Man or 1 jar of hazelnut spread
The recipe:
- Mix the dry ingredients (flour, salt)
- Add the oil and boiling water to the mixture, and mix vigorously (can be done in a food processor)
- The dough should be sticky, if not, add more water
- Pour into a piping bag with a wide, fluted tip and let sit in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Heat the frying oil to 180°C (or use a high-sided pan, in which case do not put more than 2 cm of oil in the bottom)
- Drop 10-15cm long sticks into the fryer and cook for 3 minutes, until the churros become golden brown.
- Sprinkle the churros with sugar and serve with Easter Man or another spread of your choice.
