Autumn snack: chocolate and peanut toast

What better way to accompany your weekend than with a marbled brioche, or babka, with a delicious chocolate and peanut flavor? Discover this vegan spread made with dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and peanuts.

Ingredients

  • 250g of flour
  • 1 egg
  • 180g of Tartine Chocolate Peanut spread
  • 100ml of whole milk
  • 50g of sugar
  • 3g of salt
  • 40g of peanuts
  • 80g softened butter
  • 12g of fresh yeast

The recipe

  1. Start by dissolving the yeast in warm milk and set aside.
  2. Meanwhile, mix the dry ingredients and the egg.
  3. Then add the milk and yeast and knead for a good 10 minutes.
  4. After that, it's the turn of the butter which you will add to your preparation and knead for 15 minutes, until the dough comes away from the sides.
  5. Let your dough rest for 2 hours in a bowl covered with a cloth.
  6. Once the 2 hours have passed, roll out your dough into a rectangle, the length of your mold and 3 times its width.
  7. You can now add your homemade spread and your peanuts after crushing them.
  8. Roll the dough lengthwise and cut it in half widthwise.
  9. Braid your two pieces of dough, face up, and place them in the mold with baking paper and let rest for another 2 hours.
  10. Bake your babka for 25 minutes in an oven preheated to 180°C
  11. And finally, enjoy!
