Ingredients

🥄 Express version (with ready-made mix)

  • 200 g cake mix (flour + sugar + yeast mix)
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 ml of milk
  • 50 g melted butter or 5 cl neutral oil

🍰 Homemade version (if you prefer to do everything yourself)

  • 200 g of flour
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 1 sachet of baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 ml of milk
  • 50 g melted butter or 5 cl neutral oil

👩‍🍳 Preparing the cake

1️⃣ Preheat your oven to 180°C (gas mark 6).

2️⃣ In a bowl, mix the ready-made mix or the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, yeast) if you are doing everything yourself.

3️⃣ Add the eggs, milk and melted butter , then mix until you obtain a smooth dough.

4️⃣ Pour the mixture into a buttered mold and bake for 25 minutes .

While cooking: Prepare the jam glaze!

Ingredients for the icing:

  • 100 g of mascarpone
  • 2 good tablespoons of jam without lumps (… your choice!)

👉 Mix well until you get a smooth and creamy frosting.

Finish: On ice and sublime!

5️⃣ As soon as it comes out of the oven , let the cake cool for 5 minutes , then generously apply the icing all over the top.

6️⃣ For a gourmet touch, add a few drizzles of jam on top for a marbled or decorative effect.

7️⃣ Enjoy immediately or let cool for a firmer frosting!
