Ingredients:
- 120g of sugar
- 180g of semi-salted butter
- 180g of flour
- 1 sachet of yeast
- 4 eggs
- 1 jar of 250g Chestnut Pear Tonka Bean
- 3 ripe pears
- 1 vanilla pod
Process:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Whisk the whole eggs with the sugar until frothy. Mix the flour with the baking powder. Add to the previous mixture. Melt the butter. Add the melted butter and mix with a whisk until smooth.
- Add a jar of Tonka Chestnut Pear and the scraped vanilla pod. Wash, peel, and roughly chop the pears. Gently fold them into the batter using a spatula. Butter and flour a loaf tin. Pour the mixture into the tin.
- Bake for approximately 45 minutes. The cake is cooked when you insert a knife blade into the center of the cake for 10 seconds and it comes out dry.
